Stampin’ Up! Rustic Crate

Measurements:  

  • Very Vanilla (card base):  8 ½” x 5 ½”; scored at 4 ¼
  • Crushed Curry (first layer): 5 1/2” x 4 ¼”
  • Designer Series Paper (layer):  5 ¼” x 4”
  • Basic White (to colour on): scrap
  • Copper Clay (die cut):  scrap
  • Very Vanilla (die cut circle): scrap
  • Trim: 6” each of Copper Clay and Wild Wheat
  • Baker’s Twine: 18”

Instructions:

  1. Fold the Very Vanilla card stock in half on the scoreline to form the card base.  
  2. Attach the Designer Series Paper to the Crushed Curry cardstock.
  3. On the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, emboss the Designer Series Paper/Crushed Curry layer with the Exposed Brick 3-D Embossing Folder.
  4. Use a Blending Brush and the Crushed Curry ink to add some colour to the raised surface on the Designer Series Paper.
  5. Wrap some Copper Clay Jute Trim around the middle of the embossed cardstock and attach it to the back with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. 
  6. Wrap some Wild Wheat Jute Trim around the middle of the embossed and attach it to the back with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. 
  7. Wrap the Vanilla Baker’s Twine around the card and finish at the front by tying it in a bow.
  8. Add some more Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the embossed piece of cardstock.
  9. Attach the embossed cardstock to the front of the card, lining up the edges.
  10. On the small scrap of Basic White cardstock, stamp the fall image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
  11. Color in the image using the Stampin’ Blends markers.
  12. Trace an outline around the colored image with the Light Balmy Blue Blends marker.
  13. Add some “ground” with the Old Olive Blends marker to the bottom of the image.
  14. On the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, cut out the colored image using the matching die from the Rustic Crate Dies.
  15. On the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, cut out a circle from the scrap from Very Vanilla cardstock using the 6th from the smallest of the Deckled Circles dies.
  16. Use the Light Old Olive Blends marker to add some color to the circle where the ground would be.
  17. Use a Blending Brush and the Crushed Curry ink to add some color to the center of the die-cut Very Vanilla circle.
  18. Attach the die-cut image to the die-cut circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  19. Attach the circle and image to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  20. Attach a piece of Adhesive Sheet to the Copper Clay cardstock.
  21. On the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, cut out the “hello” image from the Copper Clay cardstock.
  22. Peel off the sticker sheet on the back of the die-cut greeting and attach it to the front bottom left of the card.
  23. Use the Take Your Pick Tool to add three Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots to front of the card.
