One day, while I was struggling to do anything creative, I went back to where I started my journey and worked on a couple of scrapbook pages. I’ve had them sitting in my stamp room for several months. Almost 30 years ago, I attended my first Stampin’ Up! home party. I was a scrapbooker, my kids were little, and I loved scrapbooking our memories. Little did I know attending that one party would have such an influence over the rest of my life. I signed up to be a demo the next day. I, of course, thought I would last about six months getting the items on my wishlist at a discount.

Stampin’ Up! has recently acquired the rights to some of Close To My Hearts’ products, and many makers have signed up with Stampin’ Up! to continue their journey in the paper crafting industry. Although I’ve been using them for decades, I look forward to seeing what changes are coming and the company’s move to include more scrapbooking-friendly products.

These page layouts come from a CTMH book I purchased years ago. I don’t believe it is available anymore. I love using layout options for cards, too. Changing the paper, ink, and stamps makes the projects look different. I send out a card layout every month in my newsletter. If you haven’t already signed up, you can by filling out the form on the right-hand side of this post.

How did you get involved in paper crafting? Are you a cardmaker, scrapbooker, or both? Let me know in the comments. I loved to hear from you.

FYI, The Designer Series paper, ribbon, and embellishments are retiring at the end of April.
