February Tutorial: Easter Basket

Measurements:  

  • Pretty in Pink: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
  • DSP: 3 x 3/4
  • Basic White: 3 x 1/2 ,  enough for bunny and carrot images

Instructions:

  1. Use Pretty in Pink and several images to stamp the background on the card base. Load all the images on one stamp,
  2. Stamp bunny and carrot with Crumb Cake ink on Basic White. Color with blends. Carrot uses both Lemon Lolly and Pretty in Pink blends to make orange. Cut out images with dies.
  3. Stamp sentiment with Crumb Cake ink on a strip of Basic White.
  4. Adhere a strip of DSP to the card base, 
  5. Attach sentiment to DSP strip.
  6. Attach bunny image with dimensionals, attach carrot to bunny
  7. Add Easter Assortment embellishments to the card.

Measurements:  

  • Shy Shamrock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4, enough for flower stem dies,
  • DSP: 3 x 4 1/4
  • Lemon Lolly: enough for flower dies,
  • Crumb Cake: enough for bunny image and basket die
  • Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4 (inside),  enough for stamped images and a scallop on the basket

Instructions:

  1. Adhere DSP to the card base.
  2. Stamp bunny image with Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake cardstock. Color image with Crumb Cake blends. Cut out with a die.
  3. Using Crumb Cake cardstock, cut out a basket. Add Crumb Cake blends to the handle of the basket. 
  4. Use Basic White cardstock to cut out a scallop for the basic. 
  5. Using Lemon Lolly cardstock, cut out the bow, flowers, and weaving pieces with dies. Use Lemon Lolly blends on the bow and flowers to add some dimension. 
  6. Weave the cardstock strips into the basket and attach the scallop edge to the basket.
  7. Using Shy Shamrock cardstock, cut out stems with dies,
  8. Using Basic White cardstock and Crumb Cake ink, stamp egg, carrot, and tulip images. Color with blends. Use Lemon Lolly and Pretty in Pink on the carrot to make it orange. Cut out images with dies.
  9. Attach the basket with dimensionals to the card base. 
  10. 10. Attach the die-cut flowers to the card base
  11. 11. Attach egg, carrot, bunny, and tulip with dimensionals.
  12. 12. Attach the bow with dimensions to the basket.
  13. 13. Stamp sentiment with Crumb Cake ink.
  14. 14. Adhere embellishments to the card

Measurements:  

  • Balmy Blue: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
  • DSP: 4 x 5 1/2 and 2 3/4 x 4
  • Crumb Cake: enough basket die
  • Basic White: 4 x 5 1/4 (inside), 3 x 4 1/4, enough for stamped images

Instructions:

  1. Adhere DSP to the card base.
  2. Adhere the DSP to the Basic White layer, then attach the card base.
  3. Using Crumb Cake cardstock, cut out the basket and weaving pieces. Add Crumb Cake blends to the basket handle and the basket’s lines. Weave the Crumb Cake strips.
  4. Using Basic White cardstock and Crumb Cake ink, stamp the bunny, flowers, and carrot images. Color with blends. Use Lemon Lolly and Pretty in Pink on the carrot to make it orange. Cut out images with dies. Cut the bunny’s arms. Attach the bunny to the inside of the basket; his arms will be outside.
  5. Attach the Balmy Blue Ribbon to the basket using Tear and Tape.
  6. Using Shy Shamrock cardstock, cut out grass for the basket. Attach to the inside of the basket.
  7. Adhere the remaining images to the basket, then adhere the entire piece to the card base with dimensionals.
  8.  Tie a bow with ribbon and attach the bow to the basket with a Mini Glue Dot.
  9.  Adhere embellishments to flowers. 

Measurements:  

  • Crumb Cake: 4 1/2 x 3 3/4, scored at 1 1/4.
  • DSP: Enough for two basket dies
  • Basic White: enough for stamped images and a scallop on the basket (2)

Instructions:

  1. Score and adhere Crumb Cake to make a small box.
  2. Cut out 2 basket dies using DSP paper. Cut out 2 scallop edges from Basic White Cardstock. Attach the scallops to the basket pieces. Attach the basket pieces to the small box
  3. Stamp the bunny, carrot, and 2 eggs with Crumb Cake ink on Basic White cardstock. Color with blends. Use Pretty in Pink and Lemon Lolly to make orange for the carrot. Cut out with dies and attach to the basket. Use dimensionals on 1 egg and the bunny.
  4. Tie a ribbon bow to the handle of the basket.
